About FHAR- EMPLOYENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Family Housing and Adult Resources, Inc. (FHAR), is a charitable, non-profit social service agency serving persons with developmental disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and/or autism. Incorporated in 1971, FHAR has grown and evolved into a recognized leader and innovator in the developmental disability service delivery system. ESS is a community-based day program that emphasizes independent living and vocational skills acquisition. The program provides employment opportunities and community volunteer experiences for 60 consumers. The participants are integrated into the work force and then continuously supported and supervised by FHAR staff to ensure successful and long-term placement.
