About VOCATIONAL SKILLS SERVICES, INC.-SENIOR PROGRAM
Vocational Skills Services or “VSS†is an organization that operates day programs for adults with developmental disabilities throughout the Ventura County area. VSS serves men and women referred by the Regional Center, who meet entrance criteria between the ages of 18-65 who are interested in participating in volunteer work, recreation, education and job training within their local community. We also have a senior citizens program. Vocational Skills Services is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of interested members from the community. The program is free of charge to those who qualify. Program participants do not need to pay for activities unless specified. VSS has its own vehicles that can transport individuals to activities if needed. We offer free snacks and small lunches for those in our program and many of our staff members speak Spanish.
