Hearthstone Adult Day Care is a daytime service for adults ages 18 and older with physical, mental or cognitive disabilities. Hearthstone offers a combination of social interaction, nursing surpervision and therapeutic activities while giving support to caregivers seeking to help a loved one remain at home as long as possible. The center is staffed by a team of long term specialists with over 30 years of combined experience, dedicated to the care and comfort of the program participants. At Hearthstone, you can feel confident that your family member is receiving the kind of care, recreation and nutrition they need to stay healthy and happy. The center helps physically, mentally and emotionaly impaired adults to remain in the community. By supervising and assisting in physical and mental exercises, we can maintain or improve their level of functioning, allowing them to remain at home with loved ones for a longer period of time. The center’s staff provide care for individuals who cannot be left alone during the day, but don’t require 24 hour institutional nursing care. Our services may allow for family members to return to work, shop, or just have free time to themselves for varied reasons. We pay attention to individualized special needs and we emphasize what each participant can do, not what they can’t do. There are opportunities to make new friends and build meaningful relationships, which contributes to a sense of emotional well-being. The group setting promotes the feeling of achievement.
