Sweet Home Georgia is a private residence in Cartersville, GA providing a perfect setting for an Adult Day Care. Only 2 steps up to a beautiful front porch with rocking chairs waiting. Once inside this one story ranch you will enter into a large great room ideal for many activities (checkers, music time, and an occasional movie day) then you enter into an extra large bright and happy kitchen perfect for crafts, reading, bird watching, and meals. The home also has a great back porch for just sitting and relaxing. The home has been inspected and meets all requirements by the Fire Marshall and Bartow County. Here at Sweet Home Georgia we strive to work with each client individually to stimulate and challenge them to their highest potential. With a 3:1 client ratio and a maximum of 6 clients we are able to motivate them to participate in our many scheduled activities (art, music, meal preparation, exercise; just to mention a few). Patience and caring is a virtue we possess here. We also work with families to better educate them in how to care for their family members and themselves and where to find support. This knowledge empowers families to adjust to the many demands of caring for a family member with chronic illness or dementia. Providing good nutrition is of utmost importance as we age because we burn less calories but still need the nutrients. We provide a healthy mid morning snack, and a hot home cooked midday meal. We use fresh local and organic foods whenever possible. All food choices are made to provide high nutrient, low sugar and low salt diet.
