WesleyLife Adult Day is more than a place for people to spend the day - it's a true community resource for families. As leaders of WesleyLife's three adult day centers, we are fortunate to see firsthand how individuals who need a little extra help caring for themselves are living life to the fullest at our campuses. Here, participants are engaged with each other and with our caring staff during our time together - and the benefits are enormous. Socializing, sharing meals, exercising and taking part in meaningful activities do wonders for a person's physical and spiritual well-being. Our hearts swell with pride every time an individual's family tells us that they see greater joy in their loved one on the days they spend at our adult day center. Beyond the participants we have come to know so dearly, adult day services means a better quality of life for families that need help caring for a loved one. Caregivers need respite from their role to attend to work, errands, meetings and everything else that life brings. Adult day services means no more worrying about a loved one being home alone during the day. We know there are a growing number of people with memory loss and Parkinson's who could truly benefit from WesleyLife Adult Day. There are also those participants who just thrive by being around others and benefit from both the health and socialization aspects that adult day care brings.
