About Brien Center Adult Day Health Program

At the Brien Center’s Adult Day Health Program we restore and maintain physical and mental health while improving your family’s quality of life. The program takes place in a home-like, cheerful and barrier-free setting. When looking for a community-based program that coordinates skilled health care, rehabilitation and recreation therapies, personal care, respite and supportive services to family and caregiver, look to the Brien Center’s Adult Day Health Program. Adult Day Health is a 6-hour per day, Monday-Friday organized day program that provides comprehensive health and personal care, socialization, recreation, supervision and psychological services. Who can participate? The chronically ill, those with physical or cognitive impairments, the frail, the isolated elderly, the disabled and people with disabling conditions that do not require 24-hour a day care. Our Adult Day Health programs serve adults with physical disabilities or cognitive impairment who do not require 24-hour institutional care yet are not capable of full-time, independent living. The Brien Center’s Adult Day Health Program is a multi-disciplinary program designed to maintain maximum levels of health and psychological well-being while providing respite for family members/caregivers. It’s a long-term care program that helps adults remain in their community, rather than in a nursing home.
