About SUNNYDAY ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE

加州羅省聖蓋博谷，近十多年來，人口增加不少，尤以亞裔人士居多，且新移民中有不少年長者，患有長期性的疾病。新移民來美所要面對的各種新環境適應問題，如：房屋、教育、交通、醫療等，再加上年長者因身體健康、言語隔閡、交通的不便，就更顯孤立無助。長庚健康中心有鑑於此，特向年長的長輩們提供一個舒適、親切、休閒和健康的環境。我們一群充滿愛心的員工在聖蓋博谷創立了長庚健康中心，聚醫生、醫護人員、社工人員一起在此為耆英們服務。本中心座落艾爾蒙地市(El Monte)，10530 Lower Azusa Road。佔地萬餘呎，鄰近有銀行及社區服務中心，餐館及購物商場，是為要達到「社區康復」的目標，服務耆老。希望能藉透過本中心的康療計劃、員工的愛心、群體的活動，而消失孤立無助感；更希望能藉附近的環境，使參加者不再有「住院」的感覺，從而回復「個人的尊嚴及自信心」。
