The St. Francis Intergenerational Center houses adult day care and a preschool under one roof. It’s a great way for kupuna and keiki to share their love and energy with each other, while also meeting the needs of parents and family caregivers, especially those in today’s sandwich generation, who must care for both aging parents and young children. In response to the growing need for community-based services for older adults in West Oahu, St. Francis Adult Day Center is an ideal solution for families living with an aging parent who needs assistance or supervision during the day. Modeled after the success of Franciscan Adult Day Center, the St. Francis Adult Day Center provides an inviting, caring environment, where seniors can socialize with others while receiving the assistance they need. Adult day care also gives relief and peace of mind to family caregivers, allowing them to continue to work or offering a needed break from the 24/7 demands of caregiving. The spacious, new 4,000-square-foot adult day center, featuring an activity room, lounge and patio, is comfortably furnished with activity tables and chairs, recliners, a sofa, grand piano, an HDTV, games, and more. The center accommodates up to 50 participants daily.
