Riverview Manor Health Care Center provides Adult Day Health Care Services to the Owego community, allowing individuals to continue living at home while receiving the care needed in a safe and comfortable setting during the day. These programs are designed to coordinate health and social needs for participants, as well as to help them meet new people, stay independent and active, and maintain healthier lifestyles. At Riverview Manor Health Care Center, our Adult Day Care programs allow a greater sense of well-being for family members as participants enjoy life in a safe and supportive environment. MEDICAL MODEL: Along with having a Licensed Nurse on staff, the program is available Monday through Friday and includes meals and snacks, personal care assistance, medication administration, physician prescribed treatments and therapy services, as well as recreational programs and community outings. This model is specifically designed for individuals who may have physical or cognitive conditions which require supervision and monitoring. SOCIAL MODEL: The Social Model Adult Day Care program is available weekdays and provides individuals with opportunity to get out of the house and participate in activities, improve their overall wellbeing. The program includes meals and snacks, basic first aid, personal care assistance, medication assistance and supervision, along with recreational programs and community outings. This model provides individuals with an opportunity for social interaction with peers and assistance while maintaining independence in the community.
