The Blackmon Adult Day Care is a structured, comprehensive program that provides functionally impaired individuals with socialization, supervision and monitoring, personal care, and nutrition in a protective setting. In addition to addressing the individual’s specific care needs for assistance in activities of daily living; Blackmon Adult Day Care provides a secure environment and therapeutic activities aimed at helping participants to achieve optimal physical and mental/cognitive functioning. Blackmon Adult Day Care improves the quality of life for older adults by reducing social isolation, and increasing social and community engagement. By doing such, Blackmon Adult Day Care prevents or delays further deterioration and the potential need for more expensive health care services. In addition to improving the quality of life for functionally impaired adults, Social adult day services can improve the quality of life for the informal caregivers by giving them a break from their ongoing caregiving responsibilities and providing them with a feeling of confidence that their loved one is in a safe environment.
