A Friend’s House is sponsored by Visiting HomeCare Service - a not for profit home care agency with 40 years of caring to the community. Visiting HomeCare Service recognized the need for services in addition to home care. A Friend’s House" is a lively, home-like, social activity center for adults who are experiencing confusion, disorientation or memory loss due to aging, illness or social isolation. A Friend’s House provides men and women the opportunity to enjoy socializing, reminiscing, sing-alongs, craft projects, parties, nutritious lunches and snacks and many therapeutic activities designed to increase orientation and stimulate memory. With that in mind, “A Friend’s House" was opened in 1990 providing social day services.
